Educational Partnerships

We teach our music classes in an enjoyable and enriching environment with a focus on musicianship, kindness, patience, self-esteem – the value of practicing – and expressing creativity while learning to play the electric keyboards. All of our students succeed. The classes are designed to be a positive addition to their school day and education. The students love the keyboards … and our instructor, Mr. Cody, knows how to get the best out of all of them, from TK through high school.  

Educational Partnerships

An important part of our curriculum is the opportunity to practice presenting in front of an audience with confidence. Students in Humboldt Keyboarders exercise projecting their voices and they learn how to make a good impression in front of a group.

What keeps our students engaged is our constantly expanding music library, filled with their own song requests from the radio, television, Disney movies, and video games. As soon as new songs become popular, we immediately prepare easy versions our students can play. And we have advanced versions for more experienced students. It is always a fun surprise to find out what music the students want to learn.

We have a “sky’s the limit” philosophy when it comes to creativity. Students learn proper piano playing techniques and gain a basic understanding of music theory in an environment that fosters music appreciation and helps students discover and express their own musical identity.
